About me
Cheryl LoneyProfessional Dog PhotographerAs someone who works with dogs professionally, including running our popular service Happy Home Dog Boarding, I have a real understanding of them. Dogs are at their most relaxed in natural surroundings, it's here that I capture the real character of your four-legged friend, while they are engaged and having fun, creating personalised digital artwork that you'll cherish forever.

I've always been a keen photographer. After graduating with my Bachelor of Arts in 2004, I began working as a school photographer, and then as an apprentice for an award-winning wedding photographer. Two years after that, in 2006 I started my own alternative wedding photography business.
Working from home was quite lonely and I had always wanted a dog of my own, so along came Sprocket. After moving to Edinburgh in 2011 I began photographing Sprocket having fun at the stunning locations which Edinburgh has to offer. Then in 2012, inspired by Edinburgh's scenery and love for our four-legged friends I very quickly moved from photographing humans to only dogs, and I have never looked back! In 2014 Indiana joined our family. We do agility together, It has been so good for our bond, and last year old timer Sprockie started training too and loves it! My husband Harry and I love our own dogs so much that in 2016 we opened our happy home to boarding dogs for when their humans went on holiday. The two businesses compliment each other really well - it's a joy to now be full time dog! |
In 2015 I began volunteering at the Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home once a week, providing them with adoption photos. It's a lovely feeling that in a small way my work contributed to these lovely animals finding their new homes. It also offered an opportunity to photograph many different breeds, each with their own personality and requirements.
These are our two gorgeous dogs, Sprocket (left) and Indiana, they are my world and are beach bums just like me! |
