Wedding photography
Weddings are truly magical occasions where all the planning and agonising finally comes together.
At last you can relax and enjoy that special day when your loved ones gather to celebrate your union. You will want to choose the right photographer to capture this for you. With 17 years experience, the heart of a romantic and an eye for detail, capturing moments in beautiful photography while putting you both at ease is my thing. |

My photos of this beautiful couple always put a smile on my face as they were so scrummy to be around. It was my absolute pleasure to capture their wedding day for them, and this was their feedback: "We love looking at the beautiful images from our wedding day. We had so much fun with Cheryl who managed to put us at complete ease and capture all the emotions and feelings from the day, which was so important to us. It's so special to now be able to share these images with our daughter who gets to experience our wedding day through these photographs." |
A little bit of wedding back story
After graduating in Yorkshire with my Bachelor of Arts degree I began shadowing a professional wedding photographer. Continuing on my journey I became a professional wedding photographer too. After moving to Edinburgh I began specialising in dog photography. A few house moves, furkids, human kids and a couple of lockdowns later we have just celebrated our own 10 year wedding anniversary.
Our Whitby wedding was super dog friendly and our first furkid Sprocket had to be a part of our big day. Sprocket even joined our honeymoon too!

We decided to mark our 10 year wedding anniversary by recreating some of our wedding photos with our furkid Indiana and our two human pups, Sam and Max. None of them were around ten years ago, we were heartbroken when our beloved Sprocket passed away last summer, some family wedding fun and photos was really important to us, we only wish he could have been a part of it.
Returning to our wedding venue, Whitby Abbey in North Yorkshire, we dusted off our Victorian goth wedding outfits, I managed to squeeze back into my corset - thank goodness laces loosen first - and off we went!
It wasn't easy getting photos of us all together as a family; the boys were not at all interested. A picnic and some play later they were at last ready for some shots. Thankfully our talented and exceptionally patient friend Craig was ready to take the family photos for us.
It was never going to be possible to get everyone together and looking at the camera at the same time, certainly not all with happy faces. So voila, my years of experience editing group shots with photoshop paid off when I managed to get the best of three different images edited into the family photo I had been dreaming of, and I'm delighted with it!
